About the user

In 2005 I graduated with a master degree in biotechnological sciences applied to agriculture, at the University of Napoli Federico II, and in 2006 I got a second master degree in biotechnological sciences applied to food and crop production at the same University. Meanwhile he started scientific collaborations with several research institutes like the Department of Plant Genetics at the University of Napoli Federico II, the Institute of Plant Genetics (IGV) of the Italian National Council Research (CNR) and the Telethon Institute for Genetics and Medicine (TIGEM). In 2007 I started his PhD fellow, at the Department of Plant Genetics at the University of Napoli Federico II. Meanwhile in 2008, I started a training course, which was organized by the Italian CNR, to improve my knowledge about the analysis of genomes and to acquire the expertise of lab management. In 2010 I successfully achieved the PhD and started my research carreer.

I started the adventure of PRGdb in 2006 in the University of Naples and to date I'm one of the administrator of this wonderful resource. I strongly believe that biotechnologies, genomics and bioinformatics, if properly used, can lead our society towards a better future where human needs are combined with those of the planet. R-genes protect plants against pathogen diseases without the use of physical and chemicals barriers improving the health and the respect for the environment.
